This district comprises most of Tucson south of the Rillito River and north of 22nd St. District 26 lies to the north; District 30 to the north and east; District 29 to the south; and District 27 to the west. The southeast corner of the district lies at the intersection of Harrison Rd. and 22nd St. From there the line goes west for approximately eight miles to Country Club Rd. where it begins a zig-zap course northwest to Broadway Blvd. and Campbell Ave. It follows Campbell north to a point just north of the University Medical Center, which, along with the rest of the UofA main campus, lies in LD-27. It goes west through residential areas to Sixth Ave., north to Grant Rd. and then east to First Ave. The line follows First Ave. north to approximately Pastime Rd., where it goes west to Stone Ave., which it generally follows north to the Rillito River. It goes along the Rillito east to Pantano Rd. and the confluence of the Rillito with Tanque Verde Creek. The line follows the latter drainage to Camino Seco, where it dives south to Broadway, then east one mile to Harrison and finally south again one mile to 22nd St and the starting point. Both Park Mall and El Con Mall lie within the district boundaries, as do Randolph Park, Reid Park Zoo and Hi Corbett Field (for one more year the spring training home of the Colorado Rockies).
