This district comprises most of Tucson south of 22nd St., east of 12th Ave., and north of Valencia Rd. The entire city of South Tucson is within this district. District 28 lies to the north; District 30 to the east and south; and districts 25 and 27 to the west. The northwest corner of District 29 lies at the intersection of I-10 and Congress St. in downtown Tucson. From there, the boundary goes east along Broadway Blvd. to approximately Plumer Ave., where it begins a zig-zag course south and east to the intersection of Country Club Dr. and 22nd St. It then follows 22nd St. east to Harrison Rd., where it goes south to Pantano Wash. It runs along the wash to Houghton Rd., which it follows south to Valencia Rd. It makes a cut-out to exclude the residential development southwest of Valencia and Houghton roads (this development lies in District 30) before coming back to meet Houghton again at approximately Old Vail Rd. It again follows Houghton south to approximately Brekke Rd., where it begins an irregular course north and west to exclude Tucson International Airport (which also lies in District 30). It follows the northern boundary of the airport along Valencia and continues west to a point east of 12th Ave. It then zig-zags northwest to 12th Ave., which it follows north to the starting point at I-10 and Congress. Davis Monthan Air Force Base lies within the district.
