Arpaio running ads for re-election

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is wasting no time in kicking off his re-election.

Although the election is two years away, Arpaio has begun running ads on television.

The ads namely target interim Maricopa County Attorney Rick Romley, his philosophy and his opposition to Senate Bill 1070 and other Arpaio methods for cracking down on illegal immigration.

Arpaio says he wants everyone to know that he is running for Sheriff for a sixth time.

The Sheriff says activists, protesters and those who are threatening him should know he is not a lame duck and he plans to get even tougher on enforcing illegal immigration laws.
