Mine safety: As the state mine inspector, I am committed to providing the best training and oversight to the industry. Our office is constantly reviewing policies and procedures to ensure the best possible service to those we regulate and represent.
Background & experience: Based on my mining experience, small business ownership, and legislative service I have gained the necessary skills to perform the duties of this office. I feel the leadership skills I have acquired in the public and private sector make me well qualified to continue to serve as the state mine inspector.
Abandoned mines: Since I have taken office, this has been a major priority. We need to secure as many abandoned mines as possible. I will continue to focus on the most dangerous and those that have the greatest potential for harm. I will continue to work to secure both public and private funding to close abandoned mines across Arizona. I am committed to making all of Arizona a safe place to enjoy and recreate.
