Polls show Goddard gaining ground in governor's race

For a candidate who has trailed by as much as 22 points in recent polls, even a sliver of good news is cause for celebration. Every poll taken over the past few months has shown Republican Gov. Jan Brewer beating Democrat Terry Goddard by double digits, with some showing him down by as much as 22 points. But though they all show different margins of victory for Brewer, a couple polls have shown Goddard narrowing the gap as Election Day approaches.

Challengers say Brewer doing little to lead AZ through tough times

With Gov. Jan Brewer leading in the polls, Dean Martin and Buz Mills sought to turn her self-proclaimed strengths into her greatest weaknesses. Brewer, in turn, questioned Martin's record and Mills' plans for the state, while all feuded with Matthew Jette, whose positions seemed more fitting for a Democratic debate than a contest between GOP hopefuls.

Munger drops out of governor's race
