Arizonans who want to vote in the Nov. 2 election by early ballot face a Friday deadline for requesting a ballot.

The deadline for Arizonans to register to vote in the Nov. 2 general election is midnight on Monday.

State Treasurer Dean Martin's campaign for the Republican nomination for governor was short on cash before qualifying for $707,000 in public funding in late June, but he then paid more than $130,000 to his campaign manger and other consultants in the 11 days before he suspended his campaign.

Democrat Jason Williams is facing a complaint alleging that his campaign for state schools chief has committed a number of Clean Elections violations.
