Sen. John McCain said last month he’s considering running for a sixth term in 2016 and now the Arizona Republican is taking a step toward doing that.

According to The Arizona Republic, McCain has scheduled a December fundraiser in New York City.

A copy of an invitation to the fundraiser asks supporters to join McCain as he considers “running for re-election to the U.S. Senate.”

Suggested per-person donations for the event range from $1,000 to $5,200.

McCain will turn 80 in 2016. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1982 and he won his Senate seat in 1986.

McCain was the Republican presidential nominee in 2008.

  1. Go away McCain, far away, nobody wants you, you’re a liar, a warmonger, please go far away

  2. I would definitely support McCain for another term! I love John McCain! Wish he would / could run for President. McCain is the Real Deal!

  3. John McCain supports too many leftist, liberal agendas. Enough already. John, you served your country, now it’s time to retire.

  4. McCain should just face it, he’s out of touch, out dated, a pathological liar, a has been, unqualified and too danged old to serve! McCain became a bitter dangerous warmonger madman!
