Gay marriages to begin today in AZ after judge strikes down ban


Gays are now legally marrying in Arizona.

The historic move came just moments after Attorney General Tom Horne said Friday he will not appeal a decision earlier that morning by U.S. District Court Judge John Sedwick declaring Arizona’s ban on same-sex weddings unconstitutional and immediately ordering the state to “permanently cease enforcement of those provisions of Arizona law declared unconstitutional by this order.”

DuVal drove while license was suspended

Fred DuVal’s Arizona driver’s license was suspended for several months this year. A campaign aide would not disclose whether he actually operated a motor vehicle during that period, but other media reports say that he did drive during the roughly four months the license was suspended.
