PRO Act hurts workers, threatens economic recovery

All the PRO Act would do is help union leaders increase membership numbers by infringing on the rights of employees as well as employers. Taking away employee choice on whether to join a union, how much a union takes out of their paycheck, what happens to their private data, and whether they even have a job is not the answer.

New election bill could make criminals out of voters

If this bill passes, any absentee voter in Arizona who signs their ballot sloppily and fails to fix the error after Election Day could find themselves caught up in a criminal investigation. This would be a discriminatory burden on senior citizens, disabled voters, students, and people of color.

When they were reclassified as such in California, they overwhelmingly voted to opt out and create a third way that preserved their independence and flexibility. To truly take meaningful action toward repairing the damage done to the nation’s family planning program, Health and Human Services should listen to safety-net family planning providers from across the country about what they need to make it right so that all people — no matter who they are, where they live, or how much money they make — have the family planning and sexual health care they need.
