Issues:
Political influence: My father, wife and daughter.

Budget recommendations: We must take on the difficult task of fixing the structural flaws in our state’s business model. Part of this is school finance reform.

Other concerns: Education, as an economic imperative; public infrastructure, including safety and job opportunities.

Fiscal philosophy: Conservative and common sense.

Background & experience: Making nonpartisan decision on a school board committee; experience and service at UofA; military service; being a parent; being active in my community; working well with others and conflict resolution.

Proposition 100 sales tax: Yes [I favor it], although the Legislature should have resolved the budget and economic challenges 18 months ago. It is vital for public safety and education, both of which are essential pieces of infrastructure for businesses and our communities.

Pro-life/pro-choice: Uphold current law and protect all persons’ health choices.

One last thing: I have a history of nonpartisan approaches to support education in the best interest of all students and running a small business research laboratory investigating children/congenital heart defects to better their lives. [I am a] respected educator and researcher, and I am a veteran. I want to bring my experiences and expertise to the Capitol to be part of the new leadership to turn Arizona around in the best interest of all of us.
