Issues:
Political influence: The late “Jake” Flake.
Budget recommendations: 1) Less government regulations; 2) streamline governmental agencies to decrease or eliminate government red tape; 3) tax reform; 4) use private enterprise when possible.
Other concerns: 1) Education; 2) decrease government regulations.
Fiscal philosophy: I am very conservative. I believe in spending less than you make and staying debt-free. There should be a mandatory saving account for bad economic times. I believe that lower taxes will lead to increased economic prosperity.
Background & experience: As a public lobbyist, I have been able to witness and participate to some degree in the political process. I have testified in committees and met with legislators and staff as we worked to craft legislation.
Prop. 100 sales tax: I voted for the sales tax increase in order to buy time to make the necessary cuts that are needed to balance the state budget without “gimmicks” (education rollovers), etc. There must be more budget cuts and budget reforms to make it through this devastating economic crisis.
Pro-life/pro-choice: I am very pro life.
One last thing: I will vote for and propose legislation that will protect and promote our God-given rights which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Campaign Finance: public.
