Issues:

Political influence: Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan.

Budget recommendations: Audit every department by an outside firm to identify deficiencies and performance; restructure the state tax structure and corporate tax rates; change the economic model; [create] public and private partnerships.

Other concerns: Education, and support of family issues.

Fiscal philosophy: You do not spend what you do not have. Government, like individual citizens, needs a budget and needs to stick to it.

Background & experience: As a business owner for more than 40 years, I know what it means to make the tough decisions, i.e.: to lay off employees, to cut wages to keep more people employed, and to negotiate to find better ways of providing services.

Proposition 100 sales tax: Oppose. The budget needs to be balanced to our revenues.

Pro-life/pro-choice: I am opposed to abortion in most instances.

One last thing: Let us face our current budget concerns with common sense, not by continuing to draw partisan divides, and with a reasonable approach to find solutions to our state’s problems by developing an office of management and budgeting at the state level to track all federal funds and provide transparency for state funding.

Campaign Finance: public.
