Budget recommendations: Coordinate education to eliminate duplication of services. Focus on creating efficiencies in government – incentivize, privatize or modify government processes and procedures.

Other concerns: Reducing the barriers to relocating or expanding a business in Arizona. Reduce or eliminate the 25 percent personal property tax. Reduce or eliminate the corporate income tax. Invest in education to teach the skills necessary to provide an educated work force.

Fiscal philosophy: Conservative: [It is] time to pay down the state debts. Efficiencies in government: Government should not do what the private sector can do as well or better. Government should not compete with the private sector.

Background & experience: As a councilman for 11 years in a municipality that does not have a primary tax, no use tax, the lowest sales tax, the lowest number of government employees per capita in the state, and rated as the one of the top three desirable places to live in the state and in the country, I have learned to accomplish much with limited resources and to partner with for-profit and non-profit entities.

Proposition 100 sales tax:
I supported Prop. 100 because 2/3 [of the tax is] going to education and it is limited to three years.

Pro-life/pro-choice: Pro-life.

Campaign Finance: private.
