Political experience: Member of the Steering Committee for the Green Party of Maricopa County.

Interests: Reading, playing guitar, hiking, watching the NFL.

Issues:

Political influence: Thomas Paine.

Budget recommendations: Increase environmental taxes on corporations that pollute the environment; raise the state income tax for higher earning individuals; support the use of solar power on public buildings to reduce the consumption of resources.

Other concerns: We really need the development of clean energy technologies so we can reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. Repealing SB 1070 is another critical issue that I intend on fighting for the people of Arizona.

Fiscal philosophy: We must spend our money wisely. Education must not suffer because of a lack of funding.

Background & experience: I am new to the process. With my lack of experience I feel that I can bring new ideas to the legislative process.

Proposition 100 sales tax: I can support a sales tax increase if we know where the money will go.

Pro-life/pro-choice: I support a woman’s right to choose.

One last thing: I am not running for office to be something. Rather I want to do something. I want to work hard for the people in my community. I want people to feel proud of my commitment to them. I hope that I can leave Arizona better than I found it.
