Issues:
Political influence: Ronald Reagan, Barry Goldwater and Ron Paul.
Budget recommendations: Eliminate state income tax, thus giving citizens the right to choose how they would spend their money. Decrease size of state government by privatizing programs in an equitable and responsible manner.
Other concerns: 1) Education 2) Eliminating taxes on income and property.
Fiscal philosophy: I follow an Austrian School of Economic thinking. The free and open market will find its natural equilibrium without useless and arbitrary spending by the government.
Background & experience: As a concerned citizen of this state for the past 32 years, I have found that most legislative sessions are fraught with name calling and bickering only to come to the same end — larger government and bigger budgets. My background is nothing less than a passion to keep government out of the bedroom and out of the boardroom.
Proposition 100 sales tax: I favored the temporary sales tax because I support students and teachers. It is because I am a teacher that I truly believe a privatized system would be the most cost-effective solution and ultimately doing what is best for the student and the teacher. Let’s eliminate property tax for education and grant the right of parents to decide how they would like to invest in their own child’s education.
Pro-life/pro-choice: Government has no right to tell a single citizen what he or she can or cannot do with their bodies. The unimaginable decision of abortion is between no one else but a woman’s right to choose.
Campaign Finance: private.
