Issues

Political influence: Wilhelm Canaris [Capitol Reports note: Canaris was a German admiral, head of the German military intelligence service during WWII and a member of the German Resistance.]

Top priority: Oppose the WARFARE state.

Respected opponent: Ron Paul, because he has not funded the warfare welfare omnipotent state. Dennis Kucinich, because he has opposed the warfare state when almost no one else had the courage to do so.

Wall St bailout: [It is] wrong because it did not allow deregulation to work, i.e. to allow the excesses of the thieving corporate pirates to sink their own corporate ships. The market would have regulated these thieves (bankrupted them) if we had allowed it to do so. Instead we resurrected these anti-social financial pirates and rewarded them for their misconduct.

Stimulus Act: To the extent it provided funds for infrastructure construction or repair, I support it. To the extent it did this by fiat paper money, I oppose it. The real solution would have been to stop throwing away a TRILLION dollars each year on the military-industrial complex, expenditures which are counterproductive and only accelerate the atrophy of what is left of our creative, true-wealth producing economy.

Health care overhaul: [It is] wrong because it gives yet another job to the government, which has demonstrated that it is inefficient and wasteful. The package is just another tax on those who can pay. Instead, our government should direct its efforts to creating a better environment for the creation of economic wealth, investing in infrastructure, education and research. This will lead to economic growth and more real wealth for all, including money for health services.
