This district is a puzzle-shaped piece in the west and southwest Valley; the width of the district several times closes to a mile or less. It includes parts of southeast Glendale, west Phoenix, central Avondale and all of Tolleson. The district is composed of three sections. The first is a rectangle including Tolleson and parts of Avondale and Phoenix. This is generally bordered on the north by I-10, lower Buckeye Rd. on the south, 83rd Ave. on the east and by the Avondale-Goodyear border on the west. The second part of the district is again a rectangle; this one mostly in Phoenix between Camelback and McDowell roads, extending east to 43rd Ave. The final section, looking like a scorpion’s curling tail, extends from Camelback and 43rd Ave. north into Glendale as far as Orangewood Ave., then west to 67th Ave. and finally the “stinger” curls back south to encompass a half-mile stretch of Missouri Ave., east of 67th Ave. District 12 lies to the west and north; districts 14 and 16 to the east and District 23 to the south.
