Republican Gov. Jan Brewer and Democratic Attorney General Terry Goddard will square off next Wednesday in a gubernatorial debate sponsored by the Arizona Citizens Clean Elections Commission.
Brewer easily won her party’s nomination in this past Tuesday’s primary.
She defeated little-known moderate Matthew Jette (JETT-ee) and Buz Mills, a businessman whose name remained on the ballot even though he suspended his campaign in July.
Goddard ran unopposed in the Democratic primary.
The debate will be televised at 7 p.m. on KAET-TV.
