Attorney general candidates' debate still on

A debate scheduled Wednesday evening between candidates for state attorney general is still on though it no longer is sponsored by the state’s public campaign finance system.

The Citizens Clean Elections Commission pulled the faceoff between Democrat Felicia Rotellini and Republican Tom Horne off its list of sponsored televised debates because neither primary election winner is running with public campaign funding.

But Arizona State University’s KAET-TV says it will still air the debate as scheduled and that both candidates are willing to participate.
