Glassman spent nearly $460,000 in 2-month period

Democrat Rodney Glassman spent nearly $460,000 during a two-month period ending on Sept. 30 in his bid to unseat U.S. Sen. John McCain.

The spending was made as Glassman was vying for the Democratic nomination with three other candidates and as he entered the general election campaign against the four-term Republican senator.

Glassman’s campaign finance report made public Friday says he raised $184,000 during that period.

Glassman has raised $1.3 million over the course of the campaign. He had contributed $500,000 of his own money to his campaign earlier in the race.

He had $302,000 at the end of the latest reporting period. McCain’s latest report was made public earlier this week.
