Another outside group is taking out ads opposing the re-election of Democratic Rep. Harry Mitchell in Arizona’s 5th Congressional district.
The conservative group Club for Growth says it is making a substantial cable television ad buy in the district. The group didn’t disclose how much it planned to spend.
Mitchell is opposed by Republican David Schweikert.
Both candidates are getting substantial outside help in their respective races.
Besides the Club for Growth, groups spending in support of Schweikert include the 60 Plus Association, Americans for Prosperity, SuperPAC, Friends of John McCain and the national Republican party.
Groups buying ads in support of Mitchell include the National Education Association, America’s Families First, America Votes and the national Democratic party.
