Voter turnout across the state Tuesday is expected to be on the high side. Arizona Secretary of State spokesman Matt Benson says turnout is predicted to be 60 to 65 percent.
Benson tells The Associated Press that would be on the high end over past midterm general elections over the last 20 years.
Benson says that no major issues have cropped up at polling places from Williams to Willcox.
Election officials say in rural areas, Benson says the Secretary of State’s office expects to have ballots from Indian reservations in northeastern Arizona in and processed by sometime late Tuesday evening.
