Opponents of a measure to legalize medical marijuana in Arizona saw their advantage grow slightly Saturday as election officials continue to count ballots.
Proposition 203 was failing by more than 5,500 votes out of nearly 1.5 million counted. Opponents’ advantage had grown by 335 votes from Friday night to Saturday night.
Thousands of early ballots and provisional remain to be counted across the state.
An estimate on those totals wasn’t immediately available Saturday night.
Medical marijuana proposals in 1996 and 1998 were approved but they never took effect. A more sweeping 2002 proposal lost.
This proposal would allow the use of the drug only for serious diseases including cancer.
john mccain is a few pills short of the medicine cabinet anyway so who cares. johnny boy your only fighting the inevitable… the way your looking you’ll kick the bucket soon anyway, embrace it, the right to Life, Liberty, and pursuit of property… wait that’s right they changed that word to Happiness to be all encompassing! if you got it smoke it ~Truly American
John McCain stole our election here in Phoenix. He’s not from here, and doesn’t even live here…he moved in to become senator. He will say anything to any group, always bending his words to reflect the opinions of those he is speaking to. He makes me sick.
He put out commercials saying he is tough on immigration, but supports amnesty and weak “reform”.
He puts out soundbites and comments about standing up for the people that elected him, but when they poll overwhelmingly in favor of Prop 203, he gets up and fights to stop it!
McCain is an old school, has-been hypocrite, heralding from the days before the internet and possibly even television. We’re not falling for it again. Forget the Tea Party co-op…this is the group of a Million Individuals.
Count the rest of the ballots, WITHOUT CHEATING, and pass this thing!!
