Legis exp: House since Feb. 21, 2012. Appointed to replace Judy Burges.
Political influence: No one particular person. I consider a variety of viewpoints.
Job creation measures: Tort reform and reducing and removing unnecessary regulations.
Top Issues: Make Arizona the number one place in America to do business – tort reform, reducing regulations, tax simplification, tax cuts, potential tax credits. Cutting the size and scope of government.
Prop 100 sales tax extension: Oppose. Arizona already has the second highest sales tax in the country. We can balance the budget without the tax.
Illegal immigration: We need to enforce our immigration laws such as SB 1070. As only one state though, we will have a limited effect. Immigration is ultimately a federal responsibility and we need the federal government to enforce the laws.
Background & experience: Having been in the hotel franchise development business for over a decade, I understand what entrepreneurs go through in starting and operating a business. I believe this has given me a great understanding of how government can best support our business community.
Pro-life / pro-choice: Pro-life.
Campaign finance: private.
