About Legislative District 16

District 16 is located in eastern Maricopa County and northwestern Pinal County. It includes parts of Mesa and San Tan Valley, and all of Apache Junction and Gold Canyon. It is bounded on the south by Skyline Dr., on the east by Peralta Rd. in Gold Canyon, on the north by McDowell Blvd., and on the west by Power Rd.

Minorities represent 23.2 percent of the district’s total population and 18.8 percent of its voting age population.

District 16 contains portions of former legislative districts 19, 22 and 23.
