Memberships: Scout leader, Boy Scouts of America, since 2010; member, Bd of Governors United States Polo Assn, since 2006; manager, AZ Polo Club, 2011; coach, STCS Interscholastic Polo Team, 2012.

Interests: Family, horses, polo, aviation, ranching.

Political influence: Barry Goldwater.

Job creation measures: Reduction and elimination of the numerous boards and agencies that provide onerous and duplicate regulation.

Top Issues: Governance and government regulation, and tax policy. The Legislature must gain control over every dollar spent in the state. We must endeavor to change all federal programs (like AHCCCS and education dollars) into block grants where the state is free to spend the money as the citizens see fit, or we should decline these programs in their entirety.

Prop 100 sales tax extension: Oppose. A state cannot tax its way to growth. Spending needs to be cut dramatically.

Illegal immigration: The states retain the privilege of regulating the conduct of its citizens. It has an obligation to enforce the law. Therefore, it has an obligation to hand over suspected illegals to the feds.

Background & experience: I have been a successful businessman for 20 years. I have worked with and for the state and its administrative subdivisions for almost 20 years. I know from first-hand experience that the waste and mismanagement within state agencies is frightening. What I find even more troubling is how little input the Legislature and the citizens have over how money is spent by the state government.

Pro-life / pro-choice: I believe that Roe vs. Wade is one of the worst Supreme Court decisions in the history of the Republic. It is an egregious example of the liberal judicial activism that was the norm under the Warren Court. There is no right to an abortion in the Constitution or the common law.

Campaign finance: public.
