2027 E Hillery Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85022.

Age: Did not respond. (Mesa, AZ).

Arizona since: Birth.

Occupation: Budget specialist, Connecticut General Life Insurance Company.

Marital: Single.

Religious preference: Did not respond..

Education: M.B.A., University of Phoenix, 2002; B.A., psychology, ASU, 1995; Westwood High School (Mesa), 1990.

Political experience: Chair, LD7 Democrats, 2011; candidate, state Senate LD7 2010.

Interests: Music, hiking.

Political influence: I would not say that I consider any one person the most influential person in my political development. Rather, the political figures I admire most are those who have the courage to vote for what is right, even if it means losing their office or voice in public discourse.

Job creation measures: Measures to aggressively develop Arizona’s solar industry. Investments in public education.

Top Issues: Development of solar industry; protecting public education.

Prop 100 sales tax extension: I support measures such as the temporary sales tax increase that protect public safety and educational jobs that strengthen our communities. Without strong community infrastructure, long-term private sector job growth is highly unlikely.

Illegal immigration: We need to ensure that employers are not hiring employees who are not here legally. Taking away the lure of jobs will prevent people from crossing the border in the first place.

Background & experience: As a budget specialist, I analyze my organization’s fiscal position every day. I enjoy the challenge of taking raw pieces of data, partnering with key stakeholders and identifying opportunities for success, even in difficult situations. I hope to bring this experience to the state capitol.

Pro-life / pro-choice: I support protecting reproductive rights and ensuring that Arizonans of child-bearing age have access to the resources they need to make smart family-planning choices.

One last thing: As a Valley native, I know I will always call Arizona “home.” I want to make sure that we remain the best place in the country to live — not just today, but for decades to come.

Campaign finance: public.
