Legis exp: House since 2013.

Interests: Photography, fishing, cooking, travel.

Top priority: To fight every day to restrain the power of the federal government.

Initial legislation: I would start by repealing laws. I will introduce legislation to end the coercion of Common Core. Blackmailing the states over Common Core education funding is wrong.

Federal deficit: I would like to close down out-of-control agencies like the EPA and IRS while returning surplus federal lands to the states. I would also unleash America’s energy potential thereby increasing economic growth.

Federal spending in AZ: Secure our border with a double-layer fence and deploy the National Guard to the border. My firm position on border security is one of the many reasons I’ve been endorsed by Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Respected opponent: John F. Kennedy because he cut taxes and grew the economy, stood up to the Russians, and supported the individual, God-given right to keep and bear arms.

Public policy advice: Health care policy: Dr. Donald Kwasman, my father with 30+ years of medical experience in Arizona; Michael Cannon, Cato Institute. Constitutional policy: Ilya Shapiro, Cato Institute; Roger Pilon, Cato Institute. Educational policy: Goldwater Institute. Agricultural and rural issues: Rep. Brenda Barton. Tax and regulatory issue: Dr. Thomas C. Rustici, professor of economics, George Mason University; Rep. Justin Olson. Border immigration policy: Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
