Political experience: Precinct committeeman; campaign volunteer for Karyn Lathan and Bill Gates.

Interests: Most of my life has been dedicated to volunteering for non-profits and community organizations including but not limited to: Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, Boys and Girls clubs. My hobbies include listening to music and trying new ethnic foods.

Two biggest issues: Education and job sustainability. I will work to ensure that our teachers and students have the resources and continued education they need. I will also work to ensure that Arizona’s environment is one that welcomes new businesses and fosters local business.

Budget priorities: Funding for education and state infrastructure should be two of the top priorities for the state. If we ensure that the fundamentals are taken care of, we can focus on everything else. I would recommend that the state reduce costs by addressing the needs and long term ramifications of the budget and remove anything that will not help the state grow.

Fiscal philosophy: My philosophy is to have an open and honest conversation about what the state really needs and what the state wants. We have to be responsible and consider the growth of the state and the citizens of this state.

Common Core: The state of Arizona’s education proves that our state needs to do whatever we can to challenge our students and prepare them for the future. Our students as a whole do not rank very high and it is our responsibility to change that.

Gifts to elected officials: I believe that elected officials should not receive gifts. They are elected by the people and should do their jobs based on the needs of the people. Receiving gifts opens the door for unethical behavior.

Transparency in government: An elected official has a civic duty to be completely transparent to their constituents. The less transparency, the more room for unethical behavior.

Pro-life / pro-choice: What a woman does or does not do with her body is the business of that woman, her family, and her doctor.

Public policy advice: I have established relationships with current legislators and other active community members to discuss public policy matters.
