Two biggest issues: 1) Solving the fiscal cliff we will face three years from now when the federal funding from Medicaid expansion runs out. 2) Reducing income taxes for individuals and corporations to zero. Item 1 will require an “all hands on deck” effort bringing providers, insurance companies, business, unions and others together to come up with an out-of-the-box solution to providing health care at an affordable cost. Item 2 will result in new job creation.

Budget priorities: Maintain funding for education, public health and safety, and infrastructure expansion.

Fiscal philosophy: Conservative.

Common Core: Keep the standards, scrap the content modules.

Gifts to elected officials: No, the current standards are sufficient.

Transparency in government: The citizen must always be able to view the acts of government and make direct input to their elected officials with the expectation of being heard.

Pro-life / pro-choice: I am a platform Republican and therefore pro-life.

Public policy advice: From a variety of sources including trusty businessmen, current and former legislators, my neighbors.
