Two biggest issues: I am concerned about our educational system. Over the years, our schools (public) curriculum has decreased. Access to quality education across my district and the state is inconsistent due to the diverse socioeconomic problems. Middle class and lower income families face these challenges. Children’s education shouldn’t be something that is up on the chopping block when the state is facing budget crisis and cuts.
Budget priorities: Did not respond.
Fiscal philosophy: I would consider my fiscal philosophy responsible.
Common Core: Did not respond.
Gifts to elected officials: Yes, I do [believe reforms are needed].
Transparency in government: I feel transparency is of a great importance in our government; our community has a right to know what is going on.
Pro-life / pro-choice: I am pro-choice. I feel it is a woman’s right to choose. It is her body and it’s ultimately her decision; it [is] her life.
Public policy advice: I turn to other legislators, past or present and/or the group who is most familiar with the issue.
