Two biggest issues: Quality public education: Properly fund schools so class sizes can be reduced, adequately address children in distress, fund and focus on gifted programs. Fiscal accountability to Arizona citizens: Shift corporate subsidies and tax waivers to have a direct benefit for Arizona citizens, tax and regulate legalized cannabis sales, pay off state debt.

Budget priorities: Stop giving welfare to private prison owners and invest in our public schools.

Fiscal philosophy: I believe in budgeting conservatively while also investing in our future.

Common Core: The standards need to be the same across the U.S. I do not agree with the high stakes testing and the high cost programs that schools are implementing.

Gifts to elected officials: Groups and organizations that give to elected officials should be reporting the items and the monetary value to the Secretary of State’s office in addition to the officials reporting what they received so that there is transparency.

Transparency in government: I believe in the people’s “right to know.”

Pro-life / pro-choice: Roe v Wade is the law and does not need to be changed.

Public policy advice: The stakeholders in a given issue and the experience of history.
