About Congressional District 4


District Four is located along the western border of the state and consists of all of La Paz County and six other counties. Of Mohave County, only the Peach Springs area that is in the First Congressional District is excluded. In Yavapai County, all of the following cities and towns are included: Prescott, Prescott Valley, Ash Fork, Paulden, and all of the Verde Valley communities. The Gila County communities of Payson, Pine and Strawberry are included. Also within the district are the northern two-thirds of Yuma County and a part of Maricopa County (all of Wickenburg and parts of Buckeye). The district border then wraps around to the east of the Phoenix metro area to take in Apache Junction, Queen Creek, Gold Valley and Florence in Pinal County.

The district includes the Colorado River Indian Community, the Fort Mohave Reservation, the Fort Yuma Quechan Tribe, the Tonto Apache Tribe and the Yavapai-Prescott Tribe.
