On September 1, Daniel Scarpinato, the Capitol correspondent for the Arizona Daily Star, will become editor of the Yellow Sheet Report, a subscription, Web-based, daily newsletter covering politics and government.
“We’re thrilled to bring Daniel on board,” said Ginger Lamb, vice president and publisher of Arizona News Service, which is the parent company of the Yellow Sheet Report. “He has a keen understanding of politics and knows the issues that affect Capitol regulars, who rely on this insider tip sheet to thrive and succeed.”
Scarpinato, a native Tucsonan who holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science from the University of Arizona, covered education at the Daily Star before taking on the political beat in 2006. He writes a blog, authors the popular Political Notebook column in the Star and is a frequent guest on public affairs programs.
“The Yellow Sheet is a legendary and influential institution in Arizona politics,” Scarpinato said. “I am so excited to come on board. I can’t wait to hit the ground running.”
