A charter school company executive confirms he is considering a candidacy in the Nov. 8 recall election for Arizona Senate President Russell Pearce’s seat in the Legislature.

Former accounting firm manager Jerry Lewis says he’s been approached by residents and community leaders who encouraged him to run and that he anticipates making an announcement early next week.

Lewis’ possible candidacy was reported first by Phoenix television station KPNX.

Gov. Jan Brewer on Tuesday called the Nov. 8 special election after election officials certified that Pearce opponents collected enough voter signatures on petitions.

  1. Ken Bond Says:

Please do not suggest that Jerry Lewis is an educator. He is not. As head of a Charter school he does not have to be an educator.
