Fife and friends part ways on Brewer

Former Gov. Fife Symington says he was stunned by Governor Brewer’s call for an increase in the sales tax, and that has hurt her politically. So has her veto of the Republican budget last month, which didn’t include a temporary sales tax increase of 1-cent. Because her lips have said the “t-word,” the governor should be challenged in the Republican primary, the former governor said in an interview with Arizona Guardian, adding he knows someone ready to go. Brewer has not indicated either way what she plans to do next year.
