Cherny’s claims about treasurer’s office unfounded

Cherny yesterday held a press conference on the Senate lawn calling on Martin to disclose how the state’s education endowment is invested. For all anyone knew, Cherny said, the money could be going “from our state’s schoolchildren into the stocks and corporate bonds of bailed-out banks and the biggest companies on Wall Street.”
