Big biz riding to the rescue?

A gaggle of prominent figures in Arizona business circles is hosting a fundraiser next month for eight Republican senators: Barto, Crandall, Driggs, McComish, Nelson, Pierce, Reagan and Yarbrough. Fliers for the event declare the eight senators “Champions of Business” in 2011, but the general belief is that the pro-business stance the senators took has less to do with tax rates than with how they voted on the two birthright citizenship bills that failed in March.
