New Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery takes office

A change in the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office as Bill Montgomery is formally sworn-in.

Montgomery took the oath office Monday during a brief ceremony in the County Board of Supervisor’s auditorium.

Montgomery says he is committed to ensuring that justice is served in each and every case and that the rights of victims are respected and vindicated.

Board of Supervisors Chairman Don Stapley says he looks forward to working with Montgomery who takes over from Rick Romley who lost in the Republican primary.

Montgomery served in the Army and won a Bronze Star for meritorious conduct during the first Gulf War.
