David Raber, who headed the Corporations Division at the Arizona Corporation Commission, has been named director of the new Safety Division, which will oversee pipeline and railroad programs. Linda Fisher, who is deputy director for the Corporations Division, will become the division’s new director. Jeff Grant has been hired as the new deputy director of the Corporations Division.
Alan Maguire is the newest member of the State Board of Investment, State Treasurer Dean Martin has announced. The Board of Investment reviews the investment of state monies, serves as trustee of the Permanent Land Trust Funds, and approves the Treasurer’s Office investments. Maguire is president and principal economist of the Maguire Company, an economic forecasting firm. He also has served as an adviser to four Arizona governors, four Senate presidents and two House speakers.
