Thomas, Wilenchik behavior

The recent news regarding Andy Thomas’ office and [Dennis] Wilenchik’s outrageous behavior is distressing, if not surprising.
For months now, Wilenchik has been running amok in Superior Court, filing outrageous motions, making incredible statements in court, generally showing disrespect for the judicial system and perhaps most importantly, bringing disrepute to the noble profession of the law.
I am heartened to see that Mr. Thomas finally put a stop to Wilenchik’s antics, but am not hopeful for a change of heart from Mr. Thomas’ office. Since he took office, he has almost exclusively used the office as a tool for his political antics, rather than as a tool to seek justice and protection for Maricopa County residents through the legal system.
It’s time to start using the County Attorney’s Office to protect the people, and it’s time to stop the circus sideshow that has become an almost weekly occurrence.
