Brewer asks regents to back Medicaid plan

Regents vote to end mandatory student fee

Tuition bills for students at Arizona’s three universities will no longer include a $2 fee to fund a politically active, non-profit group.

The bills will contain a check box instead allowing students to contribute voluntarily to the Arizona Students Association, a group that advocates on student issues and lobbies at the Legislature.

Eileen Klein to become next ABOR president

It looks like Gov. Jan Brewer will be in the market for a new chief of staff

The Arizona Board of Regents today voted unanimously to offer its presidency to Eileen Klein, who has served as Brewer’s chief of staff since 2009. The board spent about 30 minutes in executive session before moving into open session, where the regents quickly moved to make the offer to Klein.
