Gov. Doug Ducey named former House Speaker Andy Tobin as the next director of the Arizona Department of Insurance. The longtime insurance company owner has served since January as the director of the Arizona Department of Weights and Measures. He helped shepherd through a Ducey-proposed bill to abolish the agency and shift its various duties to other departments. The Department of Weights and Measures is scheduled to phase out next year.
