Democratic control of the Arizona Corporation Commission could become a reality after multiple Republican candidates failed to make the ballot.

A dozen Arizona legislative and congressional candidates are facing legal challenges to their ability to run for office this year, with opponents and interested third parties filing lawsuits alleging the candidates didn’t collect enough valid signatures of registered voters to appear on the ballot.

It all started with Scott Fistler changing his name to Cesar Chavez. Then Republican and Democratic candidates were accused fo forgery and congressional candidate Mary Rose Wilcox mistakenly attacked Ruben Gallego over his own name change.
