Reducing a disproportionate amount of violence directed at indigenous women and girls will take significant work from state government and law enforcement, members of a state study committee concluded October 28.

Rep. Jennifer Jermaine, D-Chandler, sponsored House Bill 2570 to establish the Study Committee on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls to find ways to reduce violence against indigenous women.
