First poll shows DuVal ahead, while Ducey leads most others

Double-digit doom for DuVal?

A poll conducted by online polling firm YouGov on behalf of CBS News and The New York Times’ vertical TheUpshot entered the public domain this morning, and it was nothing but good news for Ducey. The poll of 2,808 self-identified likely voters, conducted Sept. 20 through Oct. 1, found Ducey with a 10-point lead, 47 percent to 37 percent.

As early ballots went out, the extremely lopsided outside spending in the governor’s race strongly favored Republican nominee Doug Ducey. In the meantime, independent expenditure spending for Democratic nominee Fred DuVal is picking up, but not by much.
