Sidney R. DeLong was one of Arizona’s early Anglo settlers — an engineer, miner, soldier, editor, historian and businessman. Unlike the stereotypical Westerner of his era, he was also a man of conscience, integrity and refinement.
Blazing the General Crook Trail

In remote and untouched areas of Arizona, the old trails remain, where the history of the pioneers’ experiences are remembered.
Geronimo’s Autobiography
In his autobiography, Geronimo told about the lifestyle and beliefs of his people, the Bedonkohe, who lived in the mountains along the eastern border of Arizona. He said he was born in 1829 near the headwaters of the Gila River.
