Senate panel approves Clean Elections repeal measure

Republican critics of Clean Elections have renewed their long-term goal of convincing voters to repeal Arizona’s system of public campaign funding and are hoping that some extra money for K-12 education will help sweeten the deal.

Commission votes to continue defending its Horne investigation

The Citizens Clean Elections Commission voted today to continue defending a lawsuit brought by Attorney General Tom Horne to stop an investigation against him.

Redistricting commission’s attorney selection prompts criticism from Republicans

Arizona’s Independent Redistricting Commissioners split along party lines Friday over who will serve as the group’s legal counsel, with the commission’s independent chair siding with the Democrats to select the firms Ballard Spahr and Osborn Maledon.
