Candidate Statements, Photos To Go Online

Candidates for state offices may now submit their candidacy statements online for inclusion in pamphlets sent out by the Citizens Clean Elections Commission.

Publicly and privately funded candidates may submit statements of no more than 200 words through the commission’s Web site. The link is http://www.ccec.state.az.us/ccecscr/elections/2004/stmtwizwelcomeletter.asp.

Photographs also may be submitted in electronic form through the link.

Candidates may submit a statement for the primary election and a second statement for the general election. Deadlines are 5 p.m. on June 9 for the primary election and 5 p.m. on July 27 for the general election. The candidate statement pamphlets are sent to every household that has at least one registered voter.
