Jose, Emily Most Popular Baby Names In ’04

Arizona Capitol Reports Staff//January 7, 2005//[read_meter]

Jose and Emily were the most popular names for Arizona boys and girls born in 2004, the state Department of Health Services said after a check of birth records recorded by Dec. 29.

Jacob, Anthony, Daniel and Angel (pronounced AHN’-hel) followed Jose to round out the top five names chosen for 46,397 boys born in Arizona in 2004.

Emily was the first choice of names for the 44,185 girls born in Arizona in 2004, followed by Isabella, Emma, Madison and Ashley. —
